The system supports both Grid Following and Grid Forming operating modes. When the utility grid is stable, the system follows grid frequency for charging and discharging dispatch. During grid outages or in remote off-grid areas, the system automatically switches to Grid Forming mode, establishing its own voltage and frequency reference to independently support microgrid operations.
Adopting a forced air-cooling thermal solution, the system operates reliably across ambient temperatures from -20°C to 50°C. Compared to liquid-cooled alternatives, the air-cooled design offers lower initial capital investment and reduced maintenance costs for small-to-medium power scenarios, while still ensuring stable output from core components.
The system features an integrated fire suppression system paired with an intelligent Battery Management System (BMS) that continuously monitors voltage, current, and temperature of every individual cell in real time, effectively extending battery cycle life. The complete system incorporates robust electrical protection and fire-suppression coordination mechanisms, ensuring safe and reliable operation even in harsh environments characterized by high temperatures, high humidity, or heavy dust.
With a pre-installed built-in inverter, the system eliminates the need for additional external PCS equipment, significantly simplifying on-site installation and commissioning. Users simply connect solar PV arrays, the utility grid, or diesel generators and the system is ready to operate – delivering genuine plug-and-play convenience.
Lingtech’s 162kWh/50kW BESS supports simultaneous connection to solar PV, the utility grid, and diesel generators. In areas with frequent grid outages, the system intelligently coordinates battery dispatch with diesel generator deployment, prioritizing solar generation to minimize diesel consumption and reduce electricity costs. Even in completely off-grid remote regions, the system can be paired with PV to deliver independent off-grid power supply.
